Getting Started
What is Wayfind?
Wayfind is an AI-powered travel planning app for iOS. It helps you build day-by-day itineraries, import booking confirmations, track your budget, and share trips with companions — all in one place.
Is Wayfind free?
Yes — Wayfind is free to download and use. Create unlimited trips, import bookings, and generate AI itineraries at no cost.
Which devices does Wayfind support?
Wayfind is available on iPhone (iOS 16 and above) and iPad. An Android version is not available yet.
How do I create an account?
Open the app and choose to sign up with your email address, Continue with Apple, or Continue with Google. Email sign-up requires verifying your address before you can log in.
AI Itinerary Planning
How does the AI itinerary generator work?
After creating a trip, tap the AI planner button and describe what you want — your travel style, interests, pace, and any special requests. Wayfind sends your trip details to OpenAI, which generates a structured day-by-day plan with real places, estimated times, and costs. You can then edit, add, or remove any suggestion.
Is the AI always accurate?
AI-generated itineraries are a great starting point, but they can occasionally include outdated information (opening hours, prices, closures). Always verify important details through the venue's official website or a trusted travel source before your trip.
Can I edit AI-generated activities?
Absolutely. Every activity can be edited — name, time, description, category, and notes. You can add manual activities too, and AI-generated and manual activities live side by side in the same day.
Can I regenerate or adjust an itinerary?
Yes. You can run the AI planner as many times as you like, for specific days or the whole trip. You can also ask it to adjust the pace (relaxed, balanced, or packed) or focus on a particular style like food, culture, or nature.
Booking Import
How do I import my bookings?
Forward your booking confirmation email (flight, hotel, train, car rental, activity) to your personal Wayfind forwarding address, shown in the app under Bookings. Our system automatically extracts the key details and adds them to your trip.
Which booking types are supported?
Wayfind supports flights, hotels, car rentals, trains, buses, ferries, and activity reservations. If a booking type isn't supported yet, you can always add it manually.
Is my email content private?
Yes. We use the email content only to extract trip details and do not store the raw email text after processing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Maps & Navigation
How does the trip map work?
The trip map shows all your activities plotted as pins on an interactive map. Tap any pin to see details. The map also shows travel time and route between consecutive stops.
Does Wayfind work offline?
Core trip data is cached locally so you can view your itinerary without internet. Map tiles and place search require an internet connection.
Can I get directions from within the app?
Yes — tap any activity to open its details, then tap the directions button to launch Apple Maps or Google Maps with your destination pre-filled.
Account & Privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account is permanent and removes all your trips, activities, bookings, and personal data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
Who can see my trips?
Your trips are private by default. Only you — and any collaborators you explicitly invite — can see your trip data.
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap 'Forgot password?', enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour.
Can I sign in with Google or Apple?
Yes. Wayfind supports sign-in with Google and Sign in with Apple. Apple Sign-In is only available on a physical iPhone or iPad — it does not work on simulators.

I found a bug — how do I report it?
Email support@wayfind.city with a description of the issue, your device model, iOS version, and steps to reproduce. Screenshots or screen recordings are very helpful.
